Deborah and Garth will be performing at the Scandinavian Festival at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. They will be entertaining around noon time on both days. Age 11 and under are free and adults are $7 and parking is free.

Deborah's new album, featuring Garth Phillipsen, "Old Hymns and Hers", a wonderful mix of the old favorite hymns and Deborah's music done like you have never heard them before, will be available in August. As requested, Deborah does a rendition of "Amazing Grace" on the saw, joined by Tom on the Viola and Garth, "Travis picking" on his new Gretch guitar . "Amazing Grace" has a brand new sound!

Deborah's son, Micah McConnaughy, added some great horn parts on their new single. He played everything from Euphonium to Trombone to Trumpet. He is now traveling all summer with a world class drum and bugle corp, The Santa Clara Vanguard. Then he's off to Nara, Japan to study abroad for a semester.

After the death of Debbie’s mom, Mildred Schnathorst in the spring, Debbie and Garth are slowly getting their ministry back on track. They have enjoyed singing at many different churches and even received a standing ovation at a prison ministry concert. Mildred was such a great supporter of Deborah’s music, being a musician and strong Christian herself. She will be greatly missed.

Keep your eyes open for a new album in the workings, “Old Hymns and Her’s”. It will be a lively and moving collection of well known and not so well known classic hymns as well as some of Deborah’s classics, new and old. Their new concert series bearing the same name as been met with great enthusiasm. Who doesn’t enjoy the good old hymns we grew up with along with the current songs of Deborah. The stories behind the hymns shed a new light on the times and faith of the composers.
